Happy face embroidery

This is a super simple embroidery that I completed in about half an hour yesterday. The fabric is the sun sensitive kind which I developed and put into an embroidery hoop months and months ago, I then embroidered it freehand-style, the design is taken from this drawing I did. It was simple to do,  just drawing with a thread and needle really. It was my birthday last week and my friend Mark sent me some genu-ine Belgian chocolates from Belgium tied up in this pink ribbon, which I tied at the top of the hoop for fun, decorative purposes. Neat.

Pink and Orange Portrait

Here’s a self portrait I took of my reflection in the window of a bank. I love the pink and orange, it makes me think me think of a sunset. You can find more of my photographs on my Tumblr blog Gaze & Glare.  A lot of the photos are pictures of my reflection in shop windows, I’m kind of obsessed with taking photos like this – don’t ask a psychologist.

Here’s the 2013 Valentines card I made for my lovely boyfriend. I don’t have blonde hair, (or wings growing out of my head, I’m pleased to confirm) so not really sure what the picture’s all about, but I’m quite pleased with it and it’s hanging on the wall as I write this. Valentine’s day has passed, but the love lives on- yeah!
